In a separate matter, the city of Omsk has introduced new fines for traffic violations. The fine for using a mobile phone while driving in Omsk is 5,000 rubles. Speeding in a school zone carries a fine of 3,000 rubles, and driving without a seatbelt or with broken headlights will also result in a 5,000 ruble fine. Driving a vehicle without insurance or parking in a disabled spot without a permit will incur a fine of 100,000 rubles and 10,000 rubles respectively. Failing to stop at a red light will also result in a 5,000 ruble fine.
