Yakutia's Opera House Honored for Cultural Impact at 'Pushkin Card' Prize Ceremony

Yakutia's State Opera and Ballet Theatre, named after D.K. Sivtsev-Suoruna Omolloon, is set to participate in the 'Pushkin Card. Prize' ceremony in Moscow on October 3rd. Led by Aysen Nikolaev, the republic's head, the theatre's inclusion recognises Yakutia's significant cultural contribution to Russia.

The 'Pushkin Card' program, launched following President Putin's decision in 2021, is part of the 'Family' national project. It offers young people aged 14-22 the chance to attend cultural events using state funds. In Yakutia alone, 88,987 cards have been issued, involving 76% of the region's youth.

To obtain a 'Pushkin Card', one must register and confirm their account on the Gosuslugi portal and install the 'Gosuslugi Culture' mobile app. For a plastic card, a visit to any Post Bank branch with a passport and SНИЛS is required. By 2025, the limit for the card is 5,000 rubles, with up to 2,000 rubles available for Russian films. Yakutia's representation in the 'Pushkin Card. Prize' ceremony is a testament to the republic's commitment to cultural development, with 189 institutions, including theatres, museums, and cultural centres, joining the federal program.
